It is the first title of the Mega Man Battle Network series of games. Mega Man Battle Network, known as Battle Network Rockman EXE in Japan, is a video game developed by Capcom for the Game Boy Advance handheld console. It's also a shame the Gamecube game is so low considering it was really a great if rough go at the formula.Real-time tactics, Action role-playing, Tactical role-playing, Adventure, Strategy 3 added more meat and refinement but also a bit of unneeded bloat and had technical issues, and the games beyond kept polishing things up while getting worse and better in various ways, so it just seems kind of weird to think 6 is significantly worse than 3 if not considering the market aspect. 2 is great but the difficulty modes were poorly balanced and there were uneven elements all over it, such as the Wily tower boss that requires a special weapon that you easily run out of and basically need to die on purpose to try again. If you break each down as literally comparing them today, 1 is too hard, too short and a bit too simple. Every single MM game from that era is really close in quality with only the first game being a bit off from the rest. A lot of people give the latter 3 NES Mega Man games flack for just being kind of worn out which is a valid point for the time, but if literally compared today just as they are they aren't nearly that far apart.
This is a pretty mixed list and I feel it kind of is unclear on what standard these are being rated on. This being done by users will just mean everyone will use a different method and the chances of the users actually being able to compare them all are slim (though I can as I've played every game in this series aside a few of the latter battle network games) It's also a shame the Gamecube game is so low considering it was really a great if rough go at the formula.
